The Woods Coffee joins Rebound to send kids to camp
The Woods Coffee and Rebound of Whatcom County held a fundraiser May 29th at all Woods Coffee locations. Donations were accepted all day, and all supporters received free coffee coupons as a thank you for their support. The event was an overwhelming success, with people generously donating money at all locations. KGMI radio held a live broadcast at the Fairway location in Lynden and KAFE radio held a live broadcast at the Railroad location during the event. Many baristas at The Woods Coffee also showed their support by donating all of their tips.
The Ray of Hope kids camp is a seven-week long summer camp designed for children with emotional, behavioral and/or economic challenges. The organization depends on community partnerships to make the Ray of Hope camp a success, especially with extreme budget cuts at the state and federal level. The Woods Coffee and their customers raised thousands of dollars to support sending local children to camp this year, and are proud to partner with Rebound and Ray of Hope.
